I didn't want to create another thread just for this one: www.gameofthronesmmo.com/Am I the only one here who thinks, that there's something very wrong about this statment?

I didn't want to create another thread just for this one: www.gameofthronesmmo.com/Am I the only one here who thinks, that there's something very wrong about this statment? Well, it's not coming to MY browser any time soon. That trailer looked proper nuts.

The boardgame's supposed to be good though, would like try it. Have the card game but it's to damn complicated for casual play.

Well, had a couple of hours in Space Hulk. AAA it isn't, though most of the bugs I've encountered have been graphical(for example, corpses not lying down, or doors not sowing as open during the 'cinematic' deaths and such). I think they've had at most 2 voice actors involved; the Marines all use the same pool of generic phrases; and the mission briefing guy might be the same guy, with a slightly different voice modulation.
Gameplay on normal difficulty seems actually quite easy so far(3 missions in, 0 wipes, and only 3 dead marines - and I killed one with friendly fire in mission 1); though I think this is more to do with the RNG than the AI. I've only once drawn 1 CP at the start of a turn, and my marines shoot far better than they ever did when I rolled the dice. They still suck at close combat, though.
All in all, quite pleased I got it. Probably won't play the single player campaign more than once, though - it's really a game for playing with others.

I haven't found the time to play the game itself (too busy sleeping 12 hours yesterday ;D), instead I found an interesting book with story echoes space hulks and Blood Angels[/] Drinkers chapter: www.blacklibrary.com/all-products/en-the-death-of-integrity.html
Now for this, I'll find the time to buy and read at least during commuting. (The few positive comments on the Heresy Online forum also helped to cement in my decision.)

Damn sorry about being offtopic again and again, but there's just no other relevant topic to things like this: Aaron Dembski-Bowden – one of my all-time favourite writers – is working on a book series about Abaddon the Despoiler. He's doing a heavy research on the topic and a couple of days ago, he shared one of his sources, sheding some light on the Warmaster' character. It was so cool/awesome/unusual that I recommend it for anyone, who ever heard of the character to read it: aarondembskibowden.wordpress.com/2013/08/22/lets-talk-about-abaddon/

AFAIK, Chainsaw warrior isn't related in any way to Warhammer or 40k, it was just one of a bunch of games GW made in the late 80's, many of which were made for 2 reasons - those being, because they seemed cool, and because they could.

it's much as I remember the board game. like a lot of older GW games, you have to expect to die soon, and often. but chainsawing lots of zombies is always fun
