B) Explanation of Rules
The following is a more detailed explanation of the Rules of our Guild (above) :
1. Respect your fellow members and the guild hierarchy - try to help guild members when you can - and always be honest and fair with them.
While on a Guild Hunt, only 1 person gives instructions. This will usually be the ranking Officer in the group. In the case of 2 people of the same rank, the leadership will be decided between them and communicated to the group. Any ideas for improving the method of hunting will be told to the hunt leader, who will have the final decision.
2. Guild nights are officially on Mondays and Thursday evenings (20:00 GMT). It is in your best interests if you can attend, as guild meetings take place and cats are handed out on Guild Nights. If you are online during these times you are expected to participate.
A third Guild Night takes place on Sunday evenings (22:00 GMT) for the benefit of U.S. players and others who cannot make it to the Monday and Thursday evenings in time.
Unless otherwise instructed, you will be expected to meet at the GH at the start of Guild Nights for a brief meeting and the handing out of cats.
3. Never give away knowledge or secrets you obtain inside the Guild to other parties (knowledge intended for guild internal use only - for example crafting recipes, npc/boss strategies, PVP strategies, OP strategies, KA secrets, online aids and other such resources). This knowledge is crucial to our Guild's survival - violation of this trust will not be tolerated.
4. When travelling as part of a team, we often get attacked. Do not loot mobs (monster or beast) who have attacked us on the way. Looting will make them pop quicker - often we have to wait around (someone stalls, goes AFK, etc.) and we don't want mobs popping on top of us while we're waiting. However, Named and Boss mobs should be looted, but the loot must be deposited at the GH at the earliest convenience (provided that it is Excellent or Supreme and of at least q100), unless specifically given to you by Hunt Leader.
5. Watch your language in Guild chat - We have female and young members so keep the swearing down to a minimum (we all have to swear occasionally but use only when necessary), and don't use explicit references that are likely to cause offence. Extreme prejudice (e.g. racism or religious hatred) will not be tolerated.
6,7,8. You represent our guild - other players will see your actions and associate them with the guild - always act in an honourable way - we want the guild to grow and continue its good reputation. Begging publicly, mercilessly ganking foragers, being abusive to other players, or other such acts will give our guild a bad name. This will not be tolerated.
9. Do not let other players use your character. At best this is confusing to others, at worst this may be considered spying. If you must have other players using your character, use an unguilded alt.
10. When you are making sufficient funds (e.g. you have over a million dappers, and have the capability of making more) you should contribute towards Guild funds. Regularly deposit what you can spare in the GH.
Materials can also be contributed, but do not deposit materials that are of less than q100, or of basic/fine/choice quality.
Bear in mind when depositing materials and equipment that we have limited space in the GH. Keep an eye on the space and if needed, store temporarily in your packers or apartment until sufficient space can be made in the GH.
11. Guild weapons (100/100 speed/damage) are lovingly and carefully crafted from rare and hard to get mats dropped by Named and Boss mobs. For each one it takes a lot of time and effort by our faithful guildies to obtain the mats, and a lot of time and effort for the crafter to get just right. Each weapon is unique.
Guild Weapons are not to be used with the Weapon Degrade stanzas, unless in very rare occasions such as competitions and tournaments held outside the Guild. i.e. NOT to be used when grinding, in-guild competitions, friendly duels, standard PvP or Ops battles, etc.
If you wish to use the Weapon Degrade stanza, you are expected to obtain your own weapon from outside of the Guild.
12. Weapons and other equipment crafted by guild members (and given to other members) should be deposited into the GH when you have finished with them. This is to allow our crafters to keep track of equipment in the guild (e.g. what is needed), also to allow such equipment to be distributed by GL and HOs to other members when required.
Do not deposit items with very little hit points left.
13. Guildies will be made one Karavan special plan weapon of Q200+ (when they are of sufficient level to use it). Please be patient as we have a lot of active quildies and not enough mats to go round at the moment. These weapons are low durability, so should not be used for general hunting. Official Gifts from the Guild (such as special Outpost weapons, NPC armour, etc.) that are given for your dedication towards the guild must not be given away or sold to anyone without the approval of the Guild Leader.
14. Our Guild is a member of the KA (Karavan Alliance), which is an alliance of guilds who have joined forces for the greater good of the Karavan faction. The attitude and final decisions made towards and with the KA are made by the GL. Guild members must follow the GL's decision in all matters concerning the KA.
Guild members must always show respect to the KA and help other KA members - even if they don't personally accept the views of the KA.
Talk to the GL for more information regarding the Karavan Alliance.
15. We are expected to help KA guilds when defending or attacking outposts, and in return can expect KA guilds to help defend our outpost from attack. Check our forums regularly for news of outpost attacks, and if possible lend a hand. Our GL, High Officers and Officers will keep you informed of outpost battles (when they know of them), and if a ranking member of our Guild announces that an outpost battle is about to start, you are expected to participate even if this means showing up for moral support and throwing in a few heals. We need to be seen at these outpost battles by our KA allies if we hope for a good turnout when our outpost is attacked.
When engaging in outpost battles you must conduct yourself maturely and with respect for all persons present (regardless of faction). Follow the Team Leader's instructions, stick with assigned roles and keep an eye on the rest of your team.
Remember that you represent not only our Guild but also the Karavan Alliance. Do not dishonour us and cause trouble - for example, do not taunt or abuse players of the opposite faction, do not moan and complain in public chat channels if things are not going well, do not resort to dishonourable tactics such as dragging aggro onto the other side. Outpost battles can be exciting and a lot of fun, and one should not hold grudges.
Remember: XP crystals (cats) are obtained only from outposts. Outposts are obtained only from outpost battles. Everyone receives their share of cats, so it is only fair that everyone helps out in outpost battles when they can.
16. Officers and High Officers can invite players to the Guild. If you invite someone and they join the Guild, you must tell the Guild Leader about the player you have invited. This is important as we need to keep our records straight.
Until the new member is self-sufficient and happy within the guild, you are responsible for looking after him. You are expected to give him dappers for tps (at least 100K), and sort out any equipment the new player might need, as well as explaining to him how the game works, and generally helping him to settle and be happy within the guild.
17. If you have to quit the game or leave the Guild, you must let the Guild Leader know so we can keep our records straight. Tell the Guild Leader either in-game, via email, on Xfire, or on the forums (either leave a private message or post a goodbye).
C) Guild Crafters and obtaining Equipment
Guild crafters can make weapons and other equipment for you. However, you should first look for what you need in the shops. If the equipment is not available in the shops, or of poor quality only, you should post your equipment request in the forum ('What I am going to need' in 'Order of the Nameless - Crafting'), and if possible talk to the crafter to let him know you've made a request. Uber equipment takes time to make, as materials first need to be hunted and equipment plans need to be tweaked considerably to get the best balance. Please be patient - it takes a lot of time and effort to make the best equipment. Post your requests to this link:
ordernameless.proboards42.com/index.cgi?board=11&action=display&thread=1126785232All items put in GH are for use by any guildie. GL/HOs will give out these items on request, dependant on how quickly/easily they can get to the GH. Please ask for anything you need well before you will need it, to save waiting. Also please check that the item is in the GH before asking an HO/GL for it.
The HOs will be made aware of exceptions (such as Aen armour, crystals, event items, and items already promised to others). HOs may refuse to provide items at their discretion, but will need to provide an adequate reason for this.
All q200+ sup mats will only be used to craft Q200+ items. This includes special OP mats. All other mats can be used to produce the best results.
D) XP Crystals (cats)
The GL will hand out xp crystals (while they are available) as they see fit to improve the guild as a whole. Only the GL is authorised to remove crystals from the GH. These will be mainly handed out to our diggers/crafters who demonstrate their commitment to the guild by supplying mats and equipment for Guild use. In this way all guildies will benefit in some way from the XP crystals. To be in line for a crystal handout, please regularly update your stats on the posts below, and arrive on time for Guild Nights.
ordernameless.proboards42.com/index.cgi?board=order1&action=display&thread=1104315588ordernameless.proboards42.com/index.cgi?board=11&action=display&thread=1103211326If two characters are controlled by 1 person at the same time (i.e. the player holds two active Ryzom accounts), then crystals will be given to both characters on the same basis as above. Each character will be awarded on their own merits.
Trading cats
We trade xp crystals (cats) with Karavan Alliance guilds. In accordance to KA rules we trade cats at a ratio of 1:1 regardless of quality. e.g. 10 x q250 cats traded for 10 x q100 cats. The GL is responsible for official KA trading, or for nominating official Guild KA Traders.
However you are allowed to trade your own cats with almost anybody and at any ratio, provided that you make sure that the other party is made 100% aware that this trade is UNOFFICIAL and that you do not represent our Guild or the KA when trading with them.
However, there are certain guilds and certain homins who are our enemies - and you must not trade with them. If you are unsure about a certain homin or guild, speak with our GL before trading.
E) PvP
We are a friendly guild and do not generally engage in PvP (player vs player), except during Outpost battles. However - members are allowed to enter into PvP battles as long as they conduct themselves in an honourable and mature manner.
PvP Tags
The wearing of PvP tags is allowed, but Guild members must always act honourably during PvP battles; e.g. do not attack players who are AFK.
Having one or two homins tagged during Guild events causes problems. You are expected to NOT wear your PvP tag during Guild Night, unless otherwise instructed by the GL. Anyone showing up to guild/game events with PvP tag on may not be joined to team.
Being Ganked
If you are ganked (i.e. you were peacefully digging and someone comes along and kills you) in the PvP areas such as Prime-Roots, please report it to the GL, who will contact the gankers' GL in order to get an apology, and draw their attention to the situation. If no apology is received then the ganker will be met by the full force of OotN.
Homins who purposely drag aggro mobs onto you while you are digging are the worse kind of gankers.
F) Promotion within the Guild
Promotions are awarded by GL only, and after appointment are not open for discussion. Any complaints or disagreements should be raised at the time of the nomination, and, if necessary, put to the vote.
G) Standard punishments (depending on offence)
1st offence: Forum post rebuking offender
2nd offence: demotion (if O or HO).
3rd offence: withdrawal of xp crystals
4th offence: kicked from guild
Any HO can kick a member from the guild for unacceptable behaviour, however the final decision rests with the GL. The kicker will be expected to have warned the kickee at least once and will need evidence for the reason for kicking (screenshots of chat, witnesses to bad behaviour etc.) Kicking in this way will only be for the most serious incidents, where the person must be removed as soon as possible. Minor incidents should be held to discuss with the GL.
Thank you
The Code of Conduct is here to ensure that we all get on together as a Guild, we are all pulling in the same direction, and that we all have a lot of fun together. If you wish to discuss anything in the CoC, please feel free to talk about it in Guild meetings or in the forums.
We hope you will always have fun and take pride in being a member of Order of the Nameless guild, and help to ensure our guild continues to grow and prosper.
