Ok, so I know I just joined the guild in LotRO, and I am really enjoying the game. But this game, Spellborn, is a game I was looking forward to even 2 years before the release. It was just recently released, but went bankrupt not short after and is now Free to play. While the game is f2p, the developers are working on a new "version" of the game, to make a more successful re-release in the future.
It is a very different kind of MMORPG, where you don't just target a mob, sit back and press a few keys. You have a combat reticule (crosshair), and you need to use tactics, strategies, dodge attacks and arrows, and always be on guard. They have a system called "Dress to impress" - it doesn't matter what armour you wear, or if you equip a small dagger or a huge claymore. The stats are the same, and it's your skills that count.
We could take OotN to this game also, if people want to try something new next to Lotro or Ryzom. I was in the closed beta way back and enjoyed it, even though very little content was available at that time. I am downloading the client right now, to give it a go. I'll still be in Lotro as much as before, as I have a few weeks now with almost no work and no deadlines
